“Keep your eyes on the stars, and your feet on the ground.”
– Theodore Roosevelt
My name is Noah Mullins and I am a writer living in Toronto, Ontario who wants to help readers better understand society, politics, and history with research and commentaries.
A rapidly changing world is like being outside at night without a torch. You have a vague idea of what’s around you and where you are, but the shapes in the dark are menacing and you can never be sure you are going the right way. What you thought you recognized looks different. In the thrill or panic of this uncertainty you can forget that old lessons and rules still apply even when everything seems changed. Don’t panic. The path is still where it always was. Trees are still just trees. Rocks are still just rocks, and your house is still where you left it.
Old rules and lore still apply today. Things are not as different as they seem and events are not as unprecedented as they feel. The fundamentals of how the world works, and how we live our lives are still the same despite the rapid technological and socio-political changes we are experiencing.
By grounding yourself with a solid foundation of fundamental knowledge you can better understand and live in an unpredictable world.
I write with these beliefs in mind.
